The differences between Other, The Other and Another

Other
Other means additional or extra.
The word other is used to refer to a person or thing that is separate or distinct from one already mentioned. Someone or something which is not similar to the one you have already specified.
It can be an alternative or different types of something.
It can be a determiner or a pronoun.
Please note that, as a determiner it does not have a plural form.
- This one is too small. Do you have it in other sizes?
- This color is not bright enough. Do you have other colors?

The other

Another

The word another is used to refer to an additional person or thing of the same kind as one already mentioned or known about. Someone or something else which can be the same or different to what you have already specified.
We use another when we use the indefinite article “an” before other, so it is written as one word, another.
